This is a new section, where we will feature endings and openings of 80’s cartoons. The first cartoon to be featured here is G.I Joe. I remember to have some figures of them as well. When watching these videos again I realized what an incredible animation they had. The opening and closing videos change from season 1 to season 2.

He-Man and The Masters of The Universe (that is the complete name of the series) was, despite all the parodies it’s been subject of during the last two decades, one of my favorite old cartoons, and the new tv series launched during 2002 doesn’t even compare to the old one. That is why I bring you some He-Man wallpapers. I must say that I was waiting to find some wallpapers with battlecat as the main character, but at least you have Skeletor and Grayskull Castle. I guess I will have to take my own screenshots and then upload them here. But for now here you have these He-Man wallpapers.

He-Man Wallpaper sizes:

800×600 - 1024×768 - 1280×1024

And finally, a link to the best He-Man fansite ever created, were you will find more wallpapers.

Bonus Link: Here is a link to a site where the owner collects (among other cartoons) He-Man cels, amazing!.

 thundercats

The guys from thundercatslair have recently interviewed Larrey Kenney (Voice of Lion-O, Jackalman and Ratar-O). The podcast is very interesting and talking about great revelations, Larrey Kenney himself has confirmed that the Thundercats movie production is set to begin in February. Here is another article on the movie, but it doesn’t say whether it will be a live-action of CGI movie (as it says in wikipedia). Let’s wait and see.

Interview with Larrey Kenney.

The Thundercats are definitely my favorite 80’s cartoon. Not only because of that marvelous mixture of high-tecnology, magic and great character development, but also because of its delivering of a strong moral message in each episode. That is why I decided to create some Thundercats Avatars (all of them are 100×75 and weighs 2.06 kb).

Now, the best Thundercats fansite ever has a vast collection of Thundercats Animated gifs (I will be soon making my own), follow the link and download them, they are free. And, if you have a myspace page, here you have some more specially designed for the site.

Hope you enjoy my Thundercats avatars. Don’t forget to favorite me in Technorati !.

transformers 2

The first movie of the franchise “Transformers” grossed almost $700 million worldwide. Rumors has it that that may be the reason why despite the disagreements between Paramount and Dreamworks as to who takes the leadership of the sequel, the guys at Par have set a release date for the sequel. Both Spielberg and Geffen have taken the creative lead of the first movie, but that was before Paramount acquired Dreamworks, because now that is the point of conflict between the parts.

Paramount is targeting June 26, 2009 as the release date of “Transformers 2″, and it won’t make a difference if Spielberg and Geffen leave the project, because Par holds all the rights for any given Dreamworks’ project (Paramount owns Dreamworks).

Though it was Spielberg who brought aboard the first Transformers movie director Michael Bay, he is in the final stages of negotiation with Paramount to return and direct the franchise again. If he does so, LaBeouf will return as well.

Paramount seems very decided to go on with the schedule, with or without Spielberg and Bay.

My personal view on this matter?. I think that the movie had stunning special effects, but failed (again, as in many cartoon based live-action movie) in having a more serious plot, I am not referring to the storyline itself, but all those unnecessary silly jokes and comments made by the autobots themselves. Stay tuned, I will following any other news related to “Transformers 2″ release date very closely.
